Please note we will have a completely different format this year due to Covid-19 restrictions. 
  • There will not be a Region 13 Championships this year.
  • The 8U (7-8) division will not be contested this year at the Pacific Northwest Youth Championships.
  • The USATF National Junior Olympic Championships will be held July 26-August 1 in Jacksonville, FL.  Click here to see the qualifying process for this year.

COVID MITIGATION 

 
  • All competitors MUST show one of the following when picking up their race number:
  1. A negative Covid test (taken no more then seven days prior to the day of competition)
  2.  Proof of vaccination (completed at least two weeks prior)  
  • All athletes, coaches, officials and spectators must always wear a mask and practice social distancing. Athletes may lower/remove their mask when competing. 
  • Upon entry into the stadium, everyone will be asked to take the Covid Attestation and have their temperature checked.
  • Concessions will NOT be open. Please pack and plan accordingly.
  • Water fountains will not be on and water stations will not be offered around the track. Please pack and plan accordingly.

* athletes born in 2002 are also eligible if they do not turn 19 on or before 7/26/2021
 

Eligibility


Individuals:
USATF Membership:
In order to enter this event the athlete must be a current USATF Pacific Northwest member.

Citizenship: 
Only U.S. citizens, aliens living in the United States and foreign exchange students are eligible to compete in these Championships.  See the USATF Rules for more information and exceptions.  

Age Division: 
A competitor must compete in his/her age division only.  There will be no "moving up" in any events, including relays.  

Maximum # of Events: 
Competitors in the 8 & Under, 9 - 10 and 11 - 12 age divisions may compete in a maximum of three (3) events, including relays.  Competitors in the 13 - 14, 15 - 16 and 17 - 18 age divisions may compete in a maximum of four (4) events, including relays.  Combined events are not included in the event count.  All athletes must be 2021  members of USATF in good standing.

Relay Teams: Only registered 2021 USATF member clubs may enter a relay team(s).  All athletes representing the club must be affiliated with and members of that club as part of their USATF membership.  Visit www.usatf.org/membership.

Individual Entries: $8 per event
Relay Entries: $24 per relay team 
Triathlon/Pentathlon: $12 per event

June 18, 19th or 20th meets – deadline is June 11 at 11:59pm
June 25-26 meet – deadline is June 21 at 11:59PM

  • Pre-authorization of a credit card will be required for team entries and unattached entries will require immediate payment.  
  • Accuracy of data entered is the responsibility of each club and/or athlete.
  • Please verify team and athlete data within Athletic.net for accuracy prior to submitting entries.

IMPLEMENT WEIGH-IN

Meet management will provide implements. Athletes are welcome to bring their own implements.  Athletes need to have their implements checked in before competing.  The implement inspection desk will be under the grand stand toward the south end. The implements will be impounded until warmups for each individual throwing event.  Please check in implements on the day of competition only.

EVENT CHECK-IN

Athletes will check in for their running events at the white tent in the infield.   Athletes will check in at the respective field event venues for their field events.

COMPETITION BIB NUMBERS

All competitors must wear their assigned bib numbers during competition and on the front of their jerseys.  

EVENT RESULTS

Event results will be posted at the south entrance.

PROTESTS

There will be a $50 fee for all protests. Protests must be submitted to the Meet Director at once and no later than 30 minutes after a result has been announced.  The protest fee will be refunded if the protest is upheld.  
 

AWARDS

Medals will be awarded to the top three (3) individuals and the top three (3) relay teams in each event of each age division.  Places 4-6 will receive ribbons.

NATIONAL JUNIOR OLYMPICS

There is currently no Region 13 championship this year.  The entry process for the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships  (July 26 - August 1 in Jacksonville, FL) can be found here.
