Bleakley-Harris and OSullivan win Pacific Northwest Trail Running Championships
Uli and Trisha Steidl top masters finishers
Results
The
USATF Pacific Northwest Trail Running Championships
were held on August 13 as part of the Cougar Mountain 14.5 Mile Trail Race in Bellevue.
The open winners were
Stephen Bleakley-Harris
, 17, and
Sophie OSullivan
, 20, both from Seattle.
In the men's race, Bleakley-Harris crossed the line in
1:52:10 with
Tyler Quinn-Smith
, 29, of Seattle just eight seconds behind. Finishing third was
Uli Steidl
, 50, of Seattle in a time of 1:53:52. Steidl was the first masters finisher and won the 50-54 association title.
In the women's race
OSullivan's
winning time was 2:04:37. Finishing second was
Elva Williams,
38, of Seattle in 2:16:35. And matching her husband's third place overall and first masters finisher, was
Trisha Steidl
, 45, of Seattle. Steidl was the masters 45-49 division champion.
The other masters champions were
Jessie Kaarbo
(women 40-44),
Eric Bone
(men 45-49),
and
Chris Hoffman
(men 55-59).
Over $2000 in championship prize money was awarded to the top open and masters finishers.
