The 2026 USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships concluded Sunday after seven days of competition at Falcon Stadium on the campus of Cerritos College in Norwalk, California. More than 6,308 athletes from all 50 states competed in one of the nation's premier youth track and field events.
The Pacific Northwest Association was exceptionally well represented, with 252 athletes competing in 369 events while representing 36 different clubs. Over the course of the week, Pacific Northwest athletes amassed 13 national championships and 96 All-American honors while producing outstanding performances across the sprints, distance races, hurdles, relays, jumps, throws, race walks, and combined events.
Pacific Northwest athletes captured 13 national championships during the competition.
Aiden Morton (GLS Speed TC) claimed the boys 17-18 400m title in 46.52, while teammate Kenyon Andrews won the boys 17-18 400m hurdles title in 50.41.
Savannah Hinton (Alpha Speed Academy) earned the girls 17-18 400m hurdles title in 58.82, and Austin Messer (Federal Way TC) won the boys 17-18 2000m steeplechase title in 6:24.98.
Distance standout Eleanor Jones (Rain City Flyers) captured the girls 13-14 2000m steeplechase title in 7:20.25, while Savannah Ferencz (Alpha Speed Academy) won the girls 17-18 long jump title with a leap of 5.94m.
In the throws, Ethan Thayer (Unattached) won the boys 17-18 discus title with a mark of 56.03m, while Kimberly Beard (Get Strong First TC) captured the girls 17-18 hammer title with a throw of 56.11m.
The combined-events champions included Zariah TecleMariam (Girls 9-10) in the triathlon, Hailee Foster (Girls 15-16) in the heptathlon, and Brody Record-Wood (Boys 15-16) in the decathlon.
Pacific Northwest relay teams also earned national titles as GLS Speed TC captured the mixed 17-18 4x100m relay and boys 17-18 4x400m relay championships.
Several Pacific Northwest athletes earned All-American honors in multiple events.
Eleanor Jones (Girls 13-14) led the way with three All-American performances, winning the 2000m steeplechase while also placing eighth in both the 1500m and 3000m.
Maxwell Makinde (Boys 9-10) also collected three All-American honors, finishing second in the triathlon, fifth in the high jump, and seventh in the long jump.
