This training is ideal for brand-new officials or those looking to strengthen their understanding of the fundamentals. Instruction will primarily focus on high school rules, while also highlighting key differences for NCAA and USATF competition when applicable.

Topics Covered: • Event safety and officiating philosophy • Field events (marking, measuring, recording, fouls, flight coordination) • Track events (starting lines, break line, violations, umpiring, relays)
Please Note: Due to time constraints, the following areas will not be covered: Referee duties, Starting, Race Walk, Cross Country, or Pole Vault setup.
