Olsen Finishes Runner-Up in 50-Mile National Championship
Courtney Olsen
(Bellingham) delivered a stellar effort to finish second at the USATF 50 Mile Championships, stopping the clock in 5:33:59. The performance comes one year after Olsen set the previous women’s world record (5:31:56), showcasing her continued excellence at the ultra distance.
But Olsen wasn’t done. After crossing the 50-mile finish line, Olsen made the decision to continue running—pushing toward history. She went on to finish 100 kilometers in 6:59:55, breaking the existing American Record of 7:00:48 set by the legendary Ann Trason in 1995.
