First-ever National Youth 5 km Championships to be held in New York

USATF will hold its first-ever National Youth 5km Championships as part of the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon weekend, USATF announced August 25, 2022.

The 5km race will take place the morning of November 5, 2022, just before the start of the Senior USATF 5km Championships. The participants will route through Midtown Manhattan finishing at the famed New York City Marathon finish line in Central Park.

Each division will consist of the top 40-ranked boys and girls that enter in three age divisions: 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18. Qualifying standards can be found on the USATF website.

Entries are now open through 11:59 p.m. ET, Friday, October 28. The entry fee for the USATF National Youth 5 km Championships will be $25 per athlete. Click here to enter this exciting inaugural event.
