Preliminary Junior Olympic program information released

Preliminary information about the upcoming Junior Olympic program has been posted on the USATF Pacific Northwest website.

Significant changes to the program were necessary for us to be able to adhere to local, state, and USATF requirements/guidelines to host events with large attendance numbers.

Below is a quick look at the program modications (as of April 10) that have been implented for this year only:

• The Pacific Northwest Association Championships will be held over 6 days (June 13, June 18, June 19, June 20, June 25, June 26).
• The region 13 championships will not be held in 2021.
• The 8U (7-8) division will not be contested this year at the Pacific Northwest Youth Championships.
• The USATF National Junior Olympic Championships will be held July 26-August 1 in Jacksonville, FL.  Once we learn of the qualifying details from USATF we will post them.
